The goal and purpose of Music Ministry at Our Lady of the Lake is to enhance the experience of worship by heightening the Word of God with music and to provide beauty to the liturgy through music. All members of the parish community that have a desire to serve the Lord and their community through song are welcome to participate. 

10:00 AM PARISH CHOIR

The Parish Choir is open to anyone High School age and older. The choir rehearses on Wedmesdau evenings from 7:30 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. and sings at the 10:00 a.m. Sunday Liturgy from September until May, including Christmas Eve, Holy Week, Easter and other liturgies as scheduled. The choir adds beauty to the Liturgy by singing choral works and chant. The ability to read music is helpful.

THE CONTEMPORARY ENSEMBLE

The Contemporary Ensemble provides music for the Saturday 5:30 p.m. Mass and other special liturgies throughout the year. Rehearsals are held on Saturday afternoon at 4:30 p.m. at St. Cecelia's Room.

CANTORS

Cantors are experienced singers who lead the assembly at Mass. They are required to know extensive repertoire and to learn new music quickly. Cantors are required to also be choir members.  In addition to choir rehearsals, Cantors participate in cantor rehearsals as needed. Those interested in participating in the cantor ministry should plan to be in choir and contact the Director of Music.

INSTRUMENTALISTS

We are always looking for instrumentalists to enhance our choirs and Liturgies.
Do you play...Trumpet, Violin, Flute, Guitar, Bass Guitar, Piano, or any other instrument? Instrumentalists should be High School age or older with the ability to read music.
Rehearsals as needed.
