On Saturday, December 2nd Our Lady of the Lake, with the aid of students from our high schools in two counties, brought "Christ in Christmas" to life. This event, in the spirit of the true meaning of Christmas, brought together young children, their teen mentors, parents and grandparents to build Teddy Bears for the children in homeless shelters in the Sussex County area. This year the bears were donated to the over 200 families currently resident at the Samaritan Inn in Franklin, as well as other shelters in both Morris and Sussex County. The children were thanked with a musical program that included Christmas carols. Christ in Christmas concluded with a visit from Santa Claus.
A very Special Thank you to the many volunteers Thank you to all our 175 young attendees and their families for making this afternoon truly magical. Christ in Christmas is possible each and every year at Our Lady of the Lake because of the constant support of Rev. David McDonnell and the OLL parish.
