March 17, 2018, 6:30 PM in McKenna Hall. Please save the date. Our very own WORLD Champion Irish Step Dancers and Musicians will be with us again this year.....and our favorite DJ will be there too. A fine corned beef and cabbage dinner will be served. Feel free to BYOB. This is a 21 and over only event. Tickets will be available at the parish office beginning February 5th and ticket sales will close on Friday, March 9th. Cost is $35 per person. Do you have a favorite recipe? Please bake our favorite one and bring it. There will be a prize awarded for the best soda bread.
MARK YOUR CALENDAR! We will be having a Parish Mission during Lent, on February 26, 27 and 28. Mr. Paul Rymniak will be our Mission Speaker. There will be an opportunity for the Sacrament of Reconciliation each night of the Mission, we'll pray the Holy Rosary on Monday and Wednesday, and there will be a Healing Service for Seriously ill people. All are welcome.
On Monday, January 29, Fr. David will give a talk on the Liturgy of the Hours, also known as the Divine Office. While priests and deacons are required to pray this prayer each day, the Christian laity are encouraged to take up tis practice too. If you would like to know more about the Liturgy of the Hours and are interested in praying this Prayer of the Church, come join us on January 29th at 7:30 PM in Cassidy Hall. Fr. David will also give this presentation in the morning after Mass.
Training will begin soon for new altar servers! We invite boys and girls in the 4th grade or above to join this important ministry! To accommodate parents' busy schedules, training sessions will be on Friday evenings and Saturday noontime. Attendees will come to either Friday evening or Saturday noon sessions, not both. The schedule for training is as follows: Friday evening training, 5 - 6:30 PM: February 16th, 23rd and March 2nd. Saturday noontime training, 12 – 1:30 PM: February 17th, 24th and March 3rd. The Marquette Council 588 Knights of Columbus will be hosting a MARDI GRAS PARTY on February 10th in McKenna Hall at 7PM-11PM. There will be food, music and a GREAT TIME! The Knights of Columbus will be conducting a Rose Sale outside Church after Masses this weekend to help support the Buses going to Washington, DC on January 19th for the March for Life.
